On December 13, Honeywell Beautiful China Initiative was honored “Content Quality Award” by PR Newswire. This is the third award following “2018 Golden Flag – Gold Award for Content Marketing” from 17PR and the CSR Bronze Award from China International Public Relations Association (CIPRA). Earlier this year, Honeywell Sichuan Rebuilt Schools program listed the “CSR CHINA TOP 100”, an important official award in education supported by the Central Committee of the Communist Young League and Ministry of Education. Besides, Honeywell was honored “2018 Top 50 Innovative Enterprises” and Honeywell Connected Plant was awarded the “Innovative Product of the Year 2018” by Jiemian, and HBT G.C. Building business received Qianjia “China Intelligent Building Brand Awards – Top 1 of BAS Brand”.
The year 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of the Reform and Opening-up. Over the past 40 years, especially the past 15 years, as an important participant, witness, contributor and beneficiary of the Reform and Opening-up, Honeywell has been growing fast and making contributions to China’s development with the power of science and technology. Recently, Honeywell received the “40 Years on: Multinational Companies in Shanghai – Excellence Award”. This award was guided by the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality and Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, jointly held by Shanghai Daily, eastday.com and Shanghai Media Group (SMG), and supported by Minhang District Government and Shanghai Association of Foreign Investment (SAFI).

Lydia Lu, Vice President of Honeywell Asia HGR Communications, was awarded the “40 Prominent Communicators” in recognition of her contributions in branding and reputation enhancement, as well as efforts in promoting and executing CSR programs.

Honeywell has pledged to reduce China-specific greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 10 percent per dollar of revenue from 2016 levels by 2022. While improving environmental standards itself, Honeywell continues to explore and innovate in environmental technologies, helping enterprises achieve the goals of energy saving and emission reduction in the Chinese market, supporting China’s sustainable development and making contributions to the Beautiful China Initiative.
When Earthquake hit Sichuan in May 2008, Honeywell announced $1.3 million donation to support the rebuilding of schools and clinics with the company's advanced technology in energy saving, environmental protection, safety and security. The two rebuilt schools were dedicated on May 21, 2009 and September 8, 2010. Over the past ten years, Honeywell and its employees in China have provided continuous educational and financial supports to the two schools.
