Recently, Honeywell SPS Suzhou Plant was selected into the 2018 Green Manufacturing List sponsored by China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and was recognized as one of the “Green Factories”.
“Green Factories” were initially selected by MIIT in May 2018 as an effort to accelerate the green manufacturing system and industrial transformation.
Gaven Chai, President of SPS Greater China said, “Suzhou plant as a world class factory, shoulders global responsibilities. With advanced process, complete facilities, stable quality system and lean manufacturing model, as well as strong awareness of sustainable development, the plant is committed to balanced and sustainable development between companies, society and environment. ‘Green Factory’ is an honor to recognize Honeywell’s efforts in corporate social responsibility.”
Honeywell Suzhou plant has long been in the pursuit of “energy and environmental protection”. With the use of solar energy, led light replacement, air compressor heat reuse, the plant has found a highly efficient and sustainable path with low cost and emission. The plant's energy consumption of every￥10,000 output value ranks among top 10% of the industry according to Shanghai standard, which is the higher standard nationwide .
Tu Yun, SPS ISC Leader of Greater China said, “Suzhou plant invests heavily in R&D talent and facilities every year to upgrade devices, process and products. As a result, the total manufacturing process becomes greener and more sustainable.”
Founded in 1999, Suzhou plant has over 1300 employees that manufacture SPS products including barcode scanners, mobile devices, scanning engines, GPS and barcode printers, etc. In June 2017, Suzhou plant was among the first three factories that received Honeywell Operation System (HOS) world class recognition.
